Specialist Cloud Database Engineer (SQL, DevOps, AWS)
Tasks
- Apply GitOps principles to database change management
- Build manage and maintain CI CD pipelines for database deployments
- Configure maintain and troubleshoot SQL Server replication
- Coordinate database deployments with application code releases
- Develop and optimize SQL and T-SQL database objects
- Develop automation scripts and operational tooling using Python
- Monitor database environments
- Package database changes into deployable artifacts
- Participate in agile ceremonies
- Perform database backup restore disaster recovery and maintenance
- Perform root cause analysis for database performance issues
- Provide support for lower and lab database environments
- Provision configure and support AWS RDS for MySQL and Aurora MySQL
- Review pull requests for database changes
- Support and troubleshoot SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups
- Troubleshoot SQL Server Integration Services packages and ETL workflows
- Validate schema changes using SQL Compare
