Tasks
- Contribute hands on to critical path work
- Create architecture decision records and RFCs
- Define data platform architecture vision
- Define self service analytics guardrails
- Drive platform cost governance
- Establish engineering standards production readiness criteria
- Evaluate and govern data tooling and onboarding
- Lead incident response for data platform outages
- Lead ingestion orchestration event streaming strategy
- Mentor data engineers through design and code reviews
- Own CDC streaming architecture Kafka to Flink to BigQuery
- Own data quality and observability architecture
- Own data sharing and egress patterns
- Partner with ML data science and compliance teams
