Snowflake Data Engineer
Tasks
- Automate provisioning monitoring alerting and housekeeping
- Automate recurring data workflows deployments and operational tasks
- Build and maintain ETL ELT pipelines using Streams Tasks Snowpipe and Dynamic Tables
- Create and manage Snowflake Tasks and orchestration workflows
- Design and develop stored procedures UDFs and Snowflake Scripting
- Develop CI CD pipelines for database objects and deployments
- Develop data models views and transformations
- Document technical standards runbooks and best practices
- Enforce data quality lineage and compliance standards
- Handle capacity planning scaling and environment management
- Implement CDC patterns for incremental data changes
- Implement RBAC and security policies
- Implement cloning time travel failover replication and disaster recovery
- Integrate Snowflake with external sources cloud storage APIs messaging systems and BI tools
- Manage Snowflake accounts warehouses databases schemas roles and users
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to platform roadmap planning
- Monitor warehouse usage query performance and costs
- Support audits access reviews and security compliance
- Troubleshoot performance issues failed tasks and platform incidents
