Tasks
- Define database standards across on prem and cloud
- Develop and maintain runbooks
- Drive automation and continuous improvement
- Ensure database security and compliance
- Ensure high availability and performance
- Implement database hardening and access controls
- Lead and mentor database administrators and engineers
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis
- Maintain monitoring and alerting
- Manage day-to-day database operations
- Manage vendor licensing and cost optimization
- Oversee database upgrades and patching
- Perform backup and disaster recovery
- Prepare implementation and back out plans
- Produce audit evidence and remediate findings
- Review database designs and data models
- Support audits and regulatory reviews
- Support cloud database migrations and adoption
- Support database change deployments and schema updates
