Storage Engineer (NetApp / Pure / Ceph)
Tasks
- Build storage automation using Ansible Terraform REST APIs and platform automation
- Build storage observability for capacity performance and health
- Build storage solutions for VMware Kubernetes and databases
- Design and operate enterprise storage platforms
- Design and operate replication snapshot and backup strategies
- Design and operate storage performance management
- Drive storage cost optimization including deduplication compression and tiering
- Implement and manage SAN NAS and object storage
- Implement cloud tiered storage
- Implement data protection including ransomware protection and immutable snapshots
- Lead storage upgrades firmware lifecycle and security patching
- Operate Ceph clusters and components
- Recommend storage platform improvements based on release notes and community updates
- Troubleshoot storage issues across array network and host layers
