Tasks
- Administer and monitor Amazon RDS MySQL
- Collaborate with engineers on schema changes and query reviews
- Design and evolve database schemas
- Develop SQL for complex reporting queries and legacy refactoring
- Maintain database security access control roles encryption and auditing
- Monitor and alert on database reliability and incident runbooks
- Plan and test backups point in time recovery and disaster recovery
- Provide data models views and documented query patterns for reporting
- Tune queries and indexes for performance
