Tasks
- Build conceptual logical and physical data models on Snowflake
- Create model diagrams semantic definitions and consumer guides
- Define conformed dimensions and canonical entities
- Define data contracts with schemas SLAs SLOs versioning and change policy
- Define validation rules and profiling thresholds for freshness volume and schema
- Design enterprise data modeling standards
- Embed CDE and PII classification tags and enable tag based masking and row access
- Ensure discoverability with metadata lineage owners in catalog
- Implement SCD handling surrogate keys and partitioning clustering
- Implement model as code with Git based CI CD and tests
- Implement star schema snowflake schema and data vault 3NF on Snowflake
- Integrate data quality tests into CI CD
- Mentor junior data modelers
- Publish performance runbooks and achieve BI latency targets under concurrency
- Translate business concepts into conceptual logical models and metric definitions
