Engineer III - Data Analytics (Hybrid)
Tasks
- Align technical solutions with cost reduction program
- Build dashboards and reporting for real time cost visibility
- Build integrations between cloud billing APIs and cost management systems
- Collaborate with data analytics team on cost data pipeline development
- Collaborate with platform teams on cost optimization recommendations
- Contribute to FinOps governance and technical standards
- Contribute to FinOps requirements for TechOps Analytics Data Solution
- Create documentation and best practices for cost efficient infrastructure patterns
- Design automated cost monitoring alerting optimization solutions
- Design scalable solutions for cost data collection processing analysis
- Develop cost allocation algorithms and tagging strategies
- Develop tooling and automation for FinOps processes
- Implement cost guardrails and automated policies
- Mentor junior engineers on cost conscious practices
- Partner with product engineering teams to identify cost optimization opportunities
- Provide technical input for FinOps roadmap
- Research and evaluate cost optimization tools and techniques
- Stay current with cloud pricing changes and optimization opportunities
- Support FinOps working group with technical expertise
