Tasks
- Collaborate cross functionally with data product and tech teams
- Collaborate with data governance on access control and privacy
- Conduct CI CD and version control
- Design data pipeline architecture
- Design dimensional modeling and data vault models
- Develop batch and streaming data pipelines
- Embed data quality observability and alerting
- Evaluate and recommend data engineering tools
- Implement infrastructure-as-code
- Lead technical design sessions and code reviews
- Lead technical interviews and onboarding
- Maintain architecture decision records runbooks pipeline specs and data dictionaries
- Mentor and coach data engineers
- Orchestrate SQL transformations in BigQuery
- Own data pipeline and data model delivery
- Resolve technical debt
- Set engineering standards for quality testing observability security and documentation
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
