- Architect embedded software for fire detection system
- Code and test embedded software
- Conduct design reviews and code reviews
- Design and develop embedded software
- Develop methods metrics and evaluation criteria for algorithms
- Identify analyze and resolve software defects
- Identify and record software activity metrics
- Liaise with product support and quality teams
- Maintain released products
- Participate in project planning and effort estimation
- Perform analysis coding and unit testing
- Plan and manage software contributions
- Prepare documentation for ISO QMS
- Provide third level support for field engineers
- Recommend updates to software development guidelines
- Review and provide feedback on functional specifications
- Support compliance, approvals, and factory testing
