Senior Software Engineer - Data Infrastructure
Tasks
- Brief stakeholders on tradeoffs and decisions
- Build alerting and dashboards
- Build and run batch orchestration pipelines
- Build orchestration patterns and testing frameworks
- Define SLOs
- Design and operate real time event processing systems
- Design self serve infrastructure for team adoption
- Drive end to end platform projects from requirements through post launch iteration
- Establish CI CD and data contracts
- Influence upstream teams on schema semantics and SLAs
- Instrument platform to catch cost regressions early
- Lead incident response during on-call rotations
- Own serving path into ClickHouse Cloud from ingestion through query
- Profile and optimize services
- Set architecture decisions for partitioning materialization retention and compute sizing
- Translate cross team requests into concrete deliverables
- Turn recurring fixes into reusable documented components
- Write runbooks and automation to reduce pages
