Senior Database Engineer

INR 3000K-4500K (estimate) Senior-level Full Time
Tasks
- Automate database operations including deployments backups patching failovers and capacity scaling
- Build scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency
- Configure and manage SQL Server Always On availability groups replication clustering and startup parameters
- Define and document best practices for installation configuration troubleshooting and monitoring
- Design implement and maintain SQL Server environments on prem and AWS
- Diagnose and resolve locking blocking deadlocks and performance issues
- Implement and maintain data security controls including TDE AWS IAM database authentication encryption at rest and in transit
- Manage database infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Mentor junior engineers
- Modernize databases through cloud migration and managed database services
- Monitor system health and adapt practices to load and usage changes
- Perform query optimization using execution plan analysis
- Plan and test disaster recovery across regions
- Profile workloads using traces load simulations performance counters and DMVs
- Serve as incident responder and lead blameless post incident reviews
- Support audit and compliance aligned with SOC2 and HIPAA
