Tasks
- Administer non intravenous medications
- Assist physicians and nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care as directed
- Follow privacy and confidentiality policies
- Identify patient needs and communicate to provider
- Obtain specimens and collect blood via venipuncture or capillary
- Perform EKGs
- Perform quality control checks on equipment
- Practice infection control precautions
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment with autoclave
- Provide patient care within scope of practice
- Record patient care documentation
- Room patients and prepare for examination
- Screen patients by phone and in person for intake information
- Support and follow Standard Delegation of Orders SDO
