Tasks
- Administer non intravenous medications
- Administer quality control checks on equipment
- Assist physicians and nursing staff
- Collect specimens via noninvasive techniques
- Coordinate patient care as directed by providers
- Ensure patient confidentiality
- Follow Standard Delegation of Orders
- Obtain cultures and change wound dressings
- Organize exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Perform and assist with EKGs
- Perform telephone and in person intake screening
- Perform venipuncture and capillary specimen collection
- Practice standard infection control precautions
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment with autoclave
- Provide patient care within scope of practice
- Record patient care documentation in medical record
- Remove staples from superficial wounds
- Room patients and prepare for examinations
