Digital Electrical Engineer – Embedded Controls
Tasks
- Create and execute hardware software integration test procedures
- Debug embedded systems using tracing and hardware interaction
- Design and review PCB layouts and schematics
- Design embedded digital control systems for spacecraft and propulsion
- Develop Python engineering control monitoring interfaces
- Develop command response communication interfaces
- Develop deployable executable software for multiple workstations
- Develop embedded firmware in C or C++
- Develop engineering data transformation algorithms for telemetry and setpoints
- Develop interfaces to command and communicate with power processing units and spacecraft systems
- Develop state machine flight firmware and control logic
- Document designs test results and engineering decisions
- Evaluate MRAM memory and power rail reset behavior
- Implement RS-485 communication interfaces
- Implement interrupt driven non blocking safety fault firmware
- Integrate ADC and DAC into embedded control systems
- Program register level embedded code without HALs
- Support DCIU development and related electronics
- Troubleshoot hardware and firmware root causes
