- Conduct failure mode analysis and risk assessments
- Define embedded software architecture for robotic platforms
- Define testing strategies for embedded systems
- Develop embedded drivers and interfaces for custom hardware
- Develop embedded real time software for robot motion navigation
- Develop software for autonomous robot operation
- Develop tools to improve testability and diagnostics
- Diagnose hardware software integration issues
- Establish engineering standards coding guidelines testing requirements
- Implement monitoring diagnostics and recovery mechanisms
- Implement sensor fusion communications diagnostics safety systems
- Lead technical design reviews and architecture discussions
- Mentor embedded software engineers provide technical guidance
- Optimize software performance for real time resource constrained environments
- Participate in board bring up and hardware validation
- Participate in release certification activities
- Partner with QA and simulation teams to validate robotic behavior
- Support automated testing and hardware in the loop validation
- Support fleet scale deployment and operational reliability
- Support integration of lidar cameras IMUs OTA updates safety sensors motor controllers battery management wireless communication
