Senior Engineer, NPD Procurement, Sports/ENT & Robotics
Tasks
- Conduct make-versus-buy analysis
- Coordinate handoff to buyer or planner after final launch
- Coordinate technical meetings and supplier reviews
- Develop costs and negotiate supplier pricing
- Develop supplier candidates based on category strategy
- Drive cost and performance improvements to reduce total cost of ownership
- Ensure regulatory compliant procurement activities
- Expedite or deexpedite prototypes and trial materials
- Identify and engage candidate suppliers in early phase gates
- Identify and mitigate business risks for materials and suppliers
- Interface with external suppliers for quotations and negotiations
- Lead supplier meetings for project deliverables
- Manage SAP procurement related product launch workflows
- Manage and monitor development cycle costs
- Manage documentation retention requirements
- Manage supplier status reports
- Partner with supplier quality to improve supplier performance
- Present sourcing decision matrix for team review
- Provide procurement input for new product launch activities
- Resolve purchased price variances and accounts payable discrepancies
- Steward procurement through product qualification and handoff to production
- Track open order report for externally sourced products
