- Apply cryptography and post quantum readiness approaches
- Conduct penetration testing static and dynamic analysis fuzz testing and vulnerability management
- Define and support security verification and validation activities
- Design device identity and authentication
- Embed security requirements into medical device development lifecycle
- Ensure alignment with medical device cybersecurity standards and compliance
- Harden secure communications and protocols
- Integrate security into agile design reviews code reviews CI CD pipelines and verification
- Perform system threat modeling and risk assessment

- Support data protection at rest and in transit
- Support key management and Hardware Security Module concepts
- Support secure boot and root of trust
- Support secure firmware software update mechanisms
