Specialist Cloud Database Engineer (SQL, DevOps, AWS)
Tasks
- Apply GitOps principles to database change management
- Automate operations using scripting and tooling
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for database deployments
- Configure and troubleshoot SQL Server replication
- Coordinate database deployments with application releases
- Develop and optimize SQL and T-SQL scripts
- Diagnose root cause of database performance bottlenecks
- Monitor database environments using monitoring tools
- Package database changes into deployable artifacts
- Participate in agile ceremonies
- Perform database backup restore and disaster recovery
- Provision and support AWS RDS for MySQL and Aurora MySQL
- Review and approve database pull requests
- Support and troubleshoot SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups
- Troubleshoot SQL Server Integration Services packages
- Troubleshoot database issues in lower and lab environments
- Validate schema changes using SQL Compare
