Tasks
- Administer SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases
- Build ETL and ELT pipelines and data movement solutions
- Collaborate with Agile teams and participate in sprint ceremonies
- Configure replication and failover procedures
- Create automation scripts for DBA tasks
- Design and maintain high availability and disaster recovery
- Design database schema and data modeling
- Develop backup and recovery strategies and run recovery tests
- Develop stored procedures, functions, views, triggers
- Implement database migrations using schema change management
- Maintain runbooks standards and operational procedures
- Manage database security access control auditing encryption
- Manage on prem database infrastructure patching and upgrades
- Monitor database performance
- Perform database maintenance integrity checks and statistics updates
- Run unit and integration testing for database changes
- Support cloud readiness and database migrations
- Troubleshoot database issues and resolve defects
- Tune queries using index tuning and execution plan analysis
