Sr. lead, Infra Cloud Database Engineer
Tasks
- Automate DBA activities with Python and Infrastructure as Code
- Build scalable secure highly available database solutions
- Build scripts for backup validation health checks provisioning and monitoring
- Define cloud database reference architectures
- Design and engineer Oracle and PostgreSQL platforms on Azure
- Develop runbooks and SOPs
- Drive change through ITSM
- Drive performance tuning and capacity planning
- Engineer and validate HA and DR strategies
- Engineer database encryption and access controls
- Execute consolidation and modernization initiatives
- Integrate database operations into CI/CD pipelines
- Lead on prem to Azure database migrations
- Lead root cause analysis and preventive improvements
- Manage secrets with Azure Key Vault
- Mentor junior DBAs
- Optimize cost and performance post migration
- Own end to end lifecycle of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
- Perform upgrades patching configuration and platform hardening
- Provide technical escalation for complex production issues
- Support audits risk assessments and compliance reviews
