Tasks
- Coordinate with hardware vendors and contractors
- Educate less technical staff on break fix best practices
- Enforce security best practices
- Handle 24x7 on call shift rotations
- Install and configure server racks
- Manage high severity issue escalation
- Measure and improve customer uptime metrics
- Participate in data center power and cooling events
- Remediate physical layer outages
- Remediate rack power issues
- Replace server and network components
- Resolve trouble tickets
- Rotate parts and spares
- Support high impact data center operations projects
- Triage and resolve trouble tickets for devices
- Troubleshoot Linux server issues
- Troubleshoot XEN virtualization
- Troubleshoot systems and network hardware problems
