Tasks
- Build and lead DBA pod
- Design HA and DR for databases
- Develop Infrastructure as Code for databases
- Drive database modernization and technical debt reduction
- Govern performance tuning and capacity planning
- Implement FinOps for database platforms
- Lead database migrations to cloud
- Lead database security and PCI DSS compliance
- Maintain runbooks SOPs and architecture documentation
- Manage backup and recovery and RTO RPO
- Manage database governance and SLAs
- Manage vendor and partner relationships
- Own database strategy and architecture
- Provide final escalation for database issues
- Right size licensing and cloud spend
- Set automation first database change process
- Set database standards and roadmap
