OpenSearch Engineer / AWS & Data Pipelines
Tasks
- Build CloudWatch dashboards alerts and runbooks
- Build PostgreSQL to OpenSearch synchronization pipelines
- Design indices and mappings
- Design snapshot restore backup and disaster recovery
- Handle dead letters and failure recovery
- Implement IAM encryption and least privilege access
- Implement retries idempotency and deduplication
- Investigate slow queries and indexing bottlenecks
- Maintain inserts updates deletes backfills
- Monitor ingestion lag and data freshness
- Optimize search queries and aggregations
- Own and operate AWS OpenSearch in production
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
- Plan upgrades and migrations
- Run reconciliation for missing stale documents
