Data Storage Engineer

Tasks
- Administer Cisco Brocade fiber channel switch fabrics and zoning
- Automate storage operations using Dell and NetApp system APIs
- Build capacity management dashboards
- Collect evaluate storage metrics and optimize storage operations
- Configure Rubrik backup policies and troubleshoot backup job failures
- Configure and manage volume snapshots and point in time restores
- Coordinate change management for maintenance firmware updates and configuration changes
- Coordinate server administrators to create secure mount NFS exports
- Coordinate vCenter to provision SAN resources for VMware ESX datastores
- Create secure SMB file shares
- Design disaster recovery architecture and continuity of operations plans
- Design enterprise storage architectures for resiliency high availability scalability
- Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures
- Develop storage modernization trade studies and technology evaluations
- Engineer lifecycle replacement strategies for storage infrastructure
- Execute system changes during maintenance windows
- Install configure administer enterprise storage systems
- Install configure maintain Linux and Windows servers for storage operations
- Mentor junior team members
- Monitor infrastructure application health availability performance and capacity
- Optimize enterprise storage configuration for availability performance capacity
- Resolve tier 2 and tier 3 service requests
- Schedule and monitor volume replication for disaster recovery
- Support cloud storage solutions for cloud applications
