Tasks
- Act as point of contact for high-severity issues
- Contribute to hiring process
- Contribute to operational efficiency improvements
- Coordinate with third-party vendors
- Enforce security best practices
- Ensure spare parts rotation
- Escalate and troubleshoot systems and network hardware problems
- Handle 24x7 on call and shift rotation responses
- Install and configure host racks
- Investigate Linux server issues
- Participate in data center power and cooling events
- Participate in small to mid-scale projects
- Perform metrics analysis and project status updates
- Prioritize and resolve trouble tickets
- Recover physical power issues on racks
- Remediate physical layer outages
- Replace server and network device parts
- Share best practices with less technical staff
- Triage and resolve device trouble tickets
- Troubleshoot Xen virtualization services
