Principal Data Architect
Tasks
- Architect cloud data platforms and data flows
- Build production grade data pipelines with data engineering
- Conduct architecture reviews and govern design authority
- Create data architecture standards and guidelines
- Define AI enabled data access patterns including RAG
- Define access control and security models
- Define enterprise data architecture
- Design data models and integration patterns
- Design reference architectures for semantic and consumption layers
- Design semantic layers for BI and AI systems
- Enable feature stores experimentation model monitoring and explainability
- Ensure scalability performance reliability and cost efficiency
- Establish data governance quality lineage and metadata management
- Govern end to end ingestion streaming and batch pipelines
- Lead master data management and golden record strategies
- Maintain architecture documentation and templates
- Mentor data engineering and analytics teams
- Provide architecture leadership for initiatives and roadmap alignment
- Standardize event stream and API integrations for AI ML
- Support observability security and resilience for data platforms
