Senior Cloud Data Ops Engineer
Tasks
- Analyze wait events and IO profiling
- Automate DBA tasks and operational workflows
- Build CI CD workflows and infrastructure automation
- Diagnose and tune performance using execution plans and indexing strategies
- Implement database migrations to managed cloud services
- Implement high availability and security hardening
- Implement schema changes and query rewrites
- Manage and troubleshoot Linux based database environments
- Manage backup restore and disaster recovery for relational databases
- Operate and optimize CloudSQL Cloud BigQuery AWS RDS Aurora workloads
- Optimize relational and time series workloads in TimescaleDB
- Participate in on-call rotations
- Perform database installation configuration patching and upgrades
- Perform system tuning for CPU memory and IO
- Set up observability using logs metrics and traces
- Support database lifecycle management across on prem and cloud platforms
- Support incident response and performance engineering
