Storage & Backup Engineer
Tasks
- Administer backup and recovery operations with Rubrik
- Administer storage platforms and manage volumes and LUNs
- Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity testing
- Assist with root cause analysis and document corrective actions
- Improve monitoring alert response and health check procedures
- Investigate failed backups missed SLAs and restore failures
- Maintain operational documentation and runbooks
- Monitor platform health and respond to alerts
- Perform NAS administration for CIFS SMB and NFS
- Perform initial triage evidence gathering and log review
- Perform restore testing and recovery validation
- Run pre checks post checks and rollback procedures
- Support CMDB accuracy and dependency mapping
- Support replication availability and resiliency
- Support storage and backup incident remediation
- Support storage and backup upgrade lifecycle execution
- Troubleshoot SAN and NAS connectivity issues
- Validate Fibre Channel zoning and multipathing
