Director - Data Engineering
INR 3000K-3300K (estimate) Executive-level Full Time
Tasks
- Build partnerships with cloud providers and ecosystem vendors
- Coordinate cross functional stakeholders for roadmap alignment
- Define KPIs for platform reliability pipeline throughput and query performance
- Define engineering best practices for data pipelines CI CD Git workflows code reviews testing and automated deployments
- Define long term data platform vision cloud native data patterns data mesh lakehouse semantic layers and self serve analytics
- Drive capacity planning and resource allocation across projects
- Drive performance tuning and cost control for Snowflake
- Ensure data quality lineage observability schema evolution and metadata management
- Evaluate and incubate emerging technologies
- Foster continuous learning culture with knowledge sharing
- Implement data lifecycle and cost governance policies
- Implement secure by design access control dynamic data masking encryption and data governance
- Lead design and delivery of enterprise data platforms on Snowflake
- Manage portfolio trade offs technical debt vs new features cost vs performance central platform vs team autonomy
- Operationalize data classification cataloging and data stewardship workflows
- Own architecture for batch and streaming data pipelines
- Own end to end program delivery for multi team initiatives
- Present roadmaps translate technical trade offs into business impact and ROI metrics
- Promote experimentation with small fast pilots and scale successful patterns
