Tasks
- Automate database operations using scripts and tools
- Cross train team members on PostgreSQL and cloud DBMS
- Develop documentation and runbooks
- Diagnose database issues at SQL and engine layers
- Ensure PostgreSQL reliability security and performance
- Expand support to additional DBMS technologies
- Implement AWS security IAM encryption SSL TLS
- Maintain production PostgreSQL on prem and AWS
- Mentor DBREs and DBAs
- Monitor workloads and query performance
- Optimize PostgreSQL schemas queries and indexes
- Perform database performance tuning
- Support PostgreSQL high availability
- Support on-call rotation
- Validate backup and recovery plans
