Tasks
- Assist physicians and nursing personnel
- Collect blood specimens via capillary
- Collect blood specimens via venipuncture
- Collect noninvasive specimens
- Coordinate patient care with providers
- Ensure training awareness for medical assistants
- Maintain medical supply inventory and rotation
- Organize clinical environment
- Perform EKGs
- Perform phone and in person patient screening for intake information
- Perform quality control checks
- Perform wound care and dressing changes
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient care
- React to emergency situations and lead until higher care arrives
- Record patient documentation
- Support infection control
- Support medical order delegation
- Support privacy and confidentiality
- Train and mentor medical assistant staff
