Tasks
- Administer platform access configuration and lifecycle
- Collaborate with data engineering analytics and governance teams
- Drive platform standardization and reduce tool fragmentation
- Enforce data access and permission models
- Ensure scalability and stability of Airflow
- Ensure scalability and stability of BigQuery
- Ensure scalability and stability of DBT
- Ensure scalability and stability of Looker
- Ensure security and access controls
- Evaluate and adopt new data platform tools
- Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Improve observability monitoring and incident response
- Lead and mentor data platform engineers
- Manage reliability and performance of cloud data platform
- Monitor platform performance and reliability
- Optimize cost and performance in BigQuery
- Optimize cost and performance in orchestration workloads
- Own cloud data platform architecture
- Plan and support high availability and disaster recovery
