Lead Data Platform Engineer
Tasks
- Act as technical reference point for platform architecture and system design
- Advise data scientists and consulting teams on platform usage
- Conduct architectural review of platform changes
- Contribute technical sections of proposals
- Coordinate QA and testing for platform components
- Define and maintain engineering standards and design patterns
- Define integration patterns and data flow designs
- Design scalable secure multi region platform architectures
- Design security architecture for platform components
- Develop and maintain technical workplans
- Embed quality gates in delivery
- Evaluate emerging platform technologies
- Identify and escalate delivery risks
- Make implementation level technology decisions
- Manage engineering capacity across workstreams
- Mentor data engineers and support capability building
- Own and maintain platform design documentation
- Own day to day delivery management
- Produce technical designs for cloud infrastructure and data pipelines
- Provide technical expertise for vendor partnerships
