Data Storage Engineer
Tasks
- Administer Cisco Brocade fiber channel switch fabrics
- Administer Rubrik backup and recovery policies
- Automate storage operations using vendor APIs
- Build capacity management dashboards
- Configure Rubrik policies and troubleshoot backup job failures
- Configure and manage volume snapshots and point in time restores
- Coordinate NFS exports creation and mounting
- Coordinate change management for maintenance and firmware updates
- Create and secure SMB file shares
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans
- Develop continuous improvement solutions for storage operations
- Execute system changes during maintenance windows
- Execute work independently with minimal supervision
- Install configure administer enterprise storage systems
- Install configure maintain administer Linux servers for storage operations
- Install configure maintain administer Windows servers for storage operations
- Mentor junior team members
- Monitor and evaluate performance and capacity trends
- Monitor backup status and generate backup reports
- Monitor storage infrastructure health and availability
- Optimize enterprise storage infrastructure for availability performance capacity
- Provision SAN resources to VMware ESX cluster datastores
- Resolve tier 2 and tier 3 service requests
- Schedule and monitor volume replication for disaster recovery
- Support cloud storage solutions
- Troubleshoot hardware and software failures with vendors
