- Adjust plans based on volume carrier availability and weather
- Analyze capacity route utilization and delivery performance
- Communicate daily transportation plans
- Coordinate hub and spoke shipments
- Coordinate inventory transfers for replenishment promotions and seasonal demand
- Coordinate transportation and inventory with third party logistics providers
- Create and manage shipping and receiving schedules
- Develop transportation plans
- Identify process improvements to reduce costs
- Maintain transportation planning records
- Monitor carrier performance service levels and detention risks
- Monitor third party logistics capacity service and performance
- Optimize freight flow
- Plan and execute stock transfer orders
- Resolve exceptions in a timely manner
- Resolve transportation issues and appointment conflicts
- Schedule and manage carrier pickups deliveries and dock appointments
- Track logistics KPIs
