Tasks
- Build and maintain application backend for real time event fan out
- Build scientific binary data formats for large time series datasets
- Define and enforce interface contracts between system layers
- Design HPC job lifecycle and event streaming to clients
- Design and implement data access layer for HPC output and application backend
- Develop async backend event loops and long lived connection handling
- Develop structured logging strategy
- Generate structured PDF reports programmatically
- Implement Python environment management with lockfiles
- Implement adaptive orbit propagation and perturbation models
- Implement native desktop client with OpenGL rendering and 3D Earth visualization
- Implement on the fly computation for query time evaluation
- Implement role based access control at API layer
- Manage long running subprocesses asynchronously
- Mentor engineers and conduct deep code reviews
- Own end to end software architecture and design decisions
- Package and deploy scientific software on Linux HPC clusters
- Select technologies with written rationales
- Write SLURM job scripts and workload manager integration
- Write and review production quality numerical simulation code
- Write detailed design documents for implementation
