Staff Engineer
Tasks
- Advise product management on technical direction
- Build observability systems at scale
- Champion unit and integration tests
- Coach teammates and support escalations
- Collaborate with stakeholders on initiatives
- Define product roadmaps with product and engineering leadership
- Design observability platform components
- Diagnose production root cause
- Diagnose test failures and fix bugs
- Handle production customer escalations
- Implement observability improvements
- Improve existing code and quality
- Interview advanced software engineering candidates
- Investigate performance impact of code changes
- Lead development and project management
- Maintain code areas for security durability availability and performance
- Mentor engineers
- Participate in on call rotation with customers and support engineers
- Prevent regressions in new code
- Write production-ready database code
