Senior Data Engineer
Tasks
- Architect Covered Area Intelligence data models and infrastructure
- Define core data platform vision and standards
- Design backend systems tools and data models for coverage gaps and vessel selection
- Design enterprise APIs data services and integration layers
- Diagnose and optimize data access bottlenecks for geospatial visualizations
- Drive data stack technical roadmap and tooling evaluation
- Establish schema evolution partitioning and retention policies
- Implement data observability latency SLAs and data quality validation
- Ingest normalize and enrich AIS signals vessel detections radar tracks and imagery metadata
- Lead scalable fault tolerant data pipelines
- Mentor engineers and lead architectural reviews and data governance
- Operationalize model outputs into production data products
- Track end to end data lineage documentation
