Tasks
- Answer phones and respond to medication questions
- Assist pharmacist with medication processing and dispensing
- Check medication inventory for out of date products
- Communicate with prescribers and customers
- Count weigh measure and pour medication
- Enter required information for prescription verification
- Fill automated medication system
- Follow clean and safe pharmacy environment procedures
- Maintain accuracy of computerized inventory records
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations
- Maintain records of prescriptions and physician orders
- Order drugs and supplies based on order points
- Prepare and label prescription medications
- Remove expired products from inventory
- Train and assist lower level pharmacy technicians
- Use inventory control programs
- Verify data entry information
