Principal AI Engineer - AI Engineering & Enablement
Tasks
- Articulate trade offs sequencing and costs
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture and cloud platform teams
- Collaborate with security identity access and audit teams
- Connect product and platform teams for enablement
- Contribute to test strategy and quality gates
- Define AI engineering technical direction
- Deliver measurable impact within squad roadmap
- Design retrieval augmented generation patterns
- Escalate and document decisions
- Establish AI-assisted development patterns
- Facilitate architecture reviews and incident learnings
- Implement agent workflows and tool use patterns
- Implement evaluation and traceability approaches
- Improve instrumentation and feedback loops dashboards limits alerts
- Lead solutioning for ambiguous problems
- Lead spikes and reference implementations
- Mentor engineers in complex technical challenges
- Perform code reviews and pairing
- Produce technical artifacts RFCs decision records runbooks
- Represent engineering in working groups
- Support vendor and external engineering assessments
