Tasks
- Build curated dimensional models and SCD datasets
- Design build and operate data pipelines ETL ELT
- Develop Databricks transformations with Python PySpark and Spark SQL
- Establish orchestration logging monitoring and alerting
- Implement data quality controls and data contracts
- Ingest data into AWS data lakehouse and data warehouse
- Maintain version control with GitHub and code reviews
- Mentor coach data engineers through design reviews and pair programming
- Optimize SQL and Spark jobs for performance and cost
- Package workloads with Docker for repeatable deployments
- Provision and manage cloud resources with Infrastructure-as-Code
- Write technical documentation and runbooks
