Storage Systems Engineer
Tasks
- Build storage automation with Ansible Terraform and REST APIs
- Build storage observability for capacity performance and health
- Build storage solutions for VMware and Kubernetes workloads
- Design and operate enterprise storage platforms
- Design and operate replication snapshot and backup strategies
- Drive storage cost optimization with deduplication compression and tiering
- Implement and manage SAN NAS and object storage
- Implement cloud tiered storage
- Implement data protection strategies including ransomware protection and immutable snapshots
- Lead storage upgrades firmware lifecycle and security patching
- Manage storage performance capacity planning and cost optimization
- Operate Ceph clusters and manage OSD lifecycle CRUSH maps RGW RBD and CephFS
- Troubleshoot complex storage issues across array network and host layers
