Tasks
- Adopt new tools techniques and patterns
- Apply data engineering standards CI CD testing documentation observability
- Clarify requirements validate outputs
- Collaborate with analysts, BI developers, data scientists
- Communicate progress risks and technical considerations
- Contribute to design discussions and code reviews
- Deliver analytics ready datasets and data models
- Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines
- Develop maintainable and well tested code
- Enforce governance security and access control
- Ensure pipelines performant scalable and cost efficient
- Estimate and plan delivery work
- Implement data quality checks validation monitoring
- Investigate incidents perform root cause analysis resolve data issues
- Maintain documentation for pipelines data models datasets
- Share knowledge and mentor junior data engineers
