Tasks
- Administer medications
- Change IV site dressings if needed
- Clean and sterilize instruments
- Collect and label laboratory samples
- Conduct EKGs
- Coordinate patient care referrals and follow up
- Discontinue venous lines if certified
- Document patient assessments and care
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Manage medications and immunizations documentation
- Monitor and adjust IV flow rates if certified
- Obtain patient chief complaint information
- Perform focused nursing assessments
- Perform injections
- Perform phlebotomy
- Practice infection control
- Process medication refill requests
- Provide nursing care
- Provide safe OSHA compliant clinic environment
- Review patient records and test results
- Start and manage peripheral IV lines if certified
- Support patient exam room preparation
