Tasks
- Advise business partners on data patterns and relationships
- Build and test predictive models, verify real-world accuracy
- Create geospatial layers and dashboards
- Create visual reports and charts to support findings
- Develop business cases and build big data models using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, AWS, Azure
- Develop static and interactive maps
- Gather, interpret, and identify causal relationships and trigger points in data
- Interface with clients to understand requirements
- Operate cloud and big data platforms (Azure Synapse, Palantir Foundry)
- Perform spatial joins, buffer, proximity analysis
- Use Python (Pandas, GeoPandas, PySpark), SQL, and GIS tools for geospatial analytics
- Use predictive modeling and statistical analysis to explore data and solve business problems
- Utilize ETL tools like Alteryx, Azure Data Factory
- Work with GIS technologies including ESRI ArcGIS, spatial analysis, mapping
