Medical Assistant WellMed at Stone Oak
Tasks
- Administer non intravenous medications
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care
- Change wound dressings and obtain cultures
- Collect specimens using noninvasive techniques
- Complete mandatory training
- Coordinate patient care per physician and company standards
- Follow infection control procedures
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
- Perform EKGs
- Perform blood specimen collection via venipuncture and capillary
- Perform diagnostic equipment operations
- Perform equipment quality control checks
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment using autoclave
- Record patient care documentation in medical record
- Remove staples from superficial wounds
- Room patients and prepare for examination
- Screen patients by intake information collection
- Support standard delegation of orders
