Medical Assistant WellMed at Stone Oak
Tasks
- Administer non intravenous medication
- Assist physicians and nursing staff
- Change wound dressings
- Collect specimens via noninvasive techniques
- Collect specimens via venipuncture and capillary
- Complete mandatory training
- Coordinate patient care per provider and company standards
- Ensure infection control precautions
- Follow privacy and confidentiality policies
- Obtain cultures
- Operate diagnostic equipment perform quality control checks
- Perform EKGs
- Perform intake screening gather information by telephone and in person
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment with autoclave
- Provide patient care support under supervision
- Record patient care documentation in medical record
- Remove staples from superficial wounds
- Room patients prepare for examination
- Support and follow Standard Delegation of Orders
