Perception Engineer III
Tasks
- Architect world state representation
- Build ROS2 nodes and libraries
- Characterize seeker performance
- Contribute reusable perception components to platform
- Decide what runs on GPU CPU or accelerators
- Define confidence and covariance outputs
- Define perception to autonomy interfaces
- Design DDS topic structures and message contracts
- Design target detection and tracking pipelines
- Develop and tune nonlinear state estimators
- Implement track initiation maintenance association and termination logic
- Integrate VIO SLAM sensor fusion and target tracking
- Manage temporal alignment and coordinate frames
- Mentor junior engineers through code review
- Optimize perception code in C++ for embedded compute
- Own perception architecture for program
- Profile compute memory and I O
- Represent perception in technical reviews
- Support hardware in the loop testing and field validation
- Translate requirements into subsystem requirements
- Write technical design documents and RFCs
