Staff Robotics Engineer
Tasks
- Champion practical AI adoption across robotics workflow
- Deploy software over the air with versioning and rollback
- Design modular vehicle software interfaces
- Diagnose vehicle software issues
- Document strategic autonomy and vehicle software architecture
- Drive testing in simulation hardware in the loop and field trials
- Ensure onboard data capture logging and sensor time synchronization
- Implement onboard quality checks for missions
- Implement safe state and abort to surface behaviors
- Improve autonomy and vehicle behaviors for long missions
- Lead cross disciplinary robotics problems end to end
- Manage telemetry runbooks and escalation paths
- Mentor robotics engineers and facilitate technical alignment
- Own fault detection isolation and recovery
- Own vehicle software architecture
- Set testing and validation standards
- Standardize fleet software
